Big Chadwick

At the turn of the 20th Century, we did side-by-side houses for a Malibu Developer on Carbon Beach, otherwise known as “Billionaire’s’ Beach”. One of the houses, “Big Chadwick” was a ground up located at the Carbon Canyon river mouth. It was designed to balance square footage maximization with an articulated, recognizable aesthetic. As one of the first “whales” on Carbon Beach, predating Larry Ellison’s massive buildouts, we weathered intense scrutiny, and ultimately prevailed.
