The original home was destroyed in the Woolsey Fire. The redesign greatly enlarged the structure size, added a basement and detached garage, and kept several elements of the original house that gave the owners a sense of place while improving on every square foot based on the owner’s 25 year knowledge of the home and site. We called the style “architectural farmhouse” and utilized simple rural forms and materials on the exterior, while furnishing the calming interior detailing with character pieces.
